Cooking grease often ends up in the kitchen sink. While the amount of fat poured into the sink should be minimized, it can be eliminated with cold water. Using hot water will make grease soluble, which will then accumulate and clog your sink.
FAQ: Should I use chemicals to unclog my sink?
Mechanical methods should always be used to unclog as chemicals could make older piping fragile enough to break and leak. Also, if the whole line is clogged, the chemicals are useless and represent a hazard to our crew.
